Pulp & Mill Treat (PM) is a products consisting scientifically selected, non-GMO microbes, enzymes and fungi designed to accelerate decomposition and digestion of sludge generated by wood and paper processing. PM consumes excess nutrients built up in holding tanks and lagoons.

Bio-Green PM is a unique combination of selected facultatively anaerobic microbial cultures, effective across a wide range of substrates and capable of working in diverse environmental conditions. Pulp and paper mill wastewater is among the tougher waste streams to break down effectively due to presence of lignocelluloses, lignins, hemicelluloses and xylan. PM will get the job done!

Problem
Large pulp and paper wastewater treatment plant had low efficiency in reducing the organic load.  Average retention time of 4 days and flow rate of 120,000 cubic meters per day.  BOD of 374 mg/L.
Treatment
Bio-Green Pulp & Mill (PM) Treat was applied daily to aeration tank.
Results
Plant treatment efficiency increased from 62% to 84%.  Final organic load reduced from 21 tons per day to 7.5 tons per day.  BOD reduced to 46.9 mg/L.
